Improvisation Workshop of Brazilian Music
The goal of the Brazilian Music Improvisation Workshop is to bring together musicians, music critics and musicologists to think and discuss collectively on the Brazilian musical improvisation through lectures, round tables, improv workshops, assemblies and concerts practices.
Improvisation is, above all, a cultural conquest, where the soloist can interact in a very intimate way with all the other musicians and the spectators, being able to consolidate our current and supposed condition of freedom. According to Small, the musical event teaches us about our culture, about the place inside and our place within nature.
The first edition of the seminar took place in April 2015, through Itaú Cultural Directions notice.
