“Sextet Clario invites Cantadores Brazil,” it proposes to disclose a part of Brazilian music inspired by the interior of Brazil. Organized in the form of a show, you will have two stages, at Caixa Cultural in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, in order to honor the tradition of singers and Brazilian popular culture.
The selection process of the show’s guests “Sextet Clario invites Cantadores of Brazil” took into account the diversity of the rural culture of the country, their consonances and variations, always from the singer’s figure. Among these included artists from different states; Master Bule Bule (BA), Valley Rubinho (MG), Juraildes Cross (TO), Zé Mulato and Cassiano (GO). Thus, each present different aspects of Brazilian rural traditions, which we treat here as “sung poetry” or “Galician-Portuguese lyric.”
In addition to the presentations, the project will provide an immersion in the interior cultures of Brazil, with the intention of bringing the public the major urban centers of the country to the ways of life and popular expression of the Brazilian rural universe. Both in Rio de Janeiro and in São Paulo will be two workshops with members of the Sextet, “Do suddenly the Rap” and “Fiddle Practice.” Simultaneously with the workshops, there will be a watercolors exhibition “Rural Brazil notes,” the artist Tiago Marques.
This project is being implemented by the Cultural Base Artistic Productions through the Caixa Cultural sponsorship program.
